The Masonic Foundation of Nova Scotia today reaffirmed its commitment to relief and community service to Nova Scotians by presenting a $25,000 donation to the Salvation Army in support of the Long Lake Wildfire Relief Effort. The presentation was made by Deputy Grand Master Settle to Mr. John Bignell, Director of Development for the Atlantic Division, and Mr. Wayne Thompson, Territorial Manager of Emergency Disaster Services.

With matching support from the provincial government, this contribution brings $50,000 to the relief fund, an encouraging demonstration of solidarity with those affected by the disaster.

This donation builds upon the tireless efforts of the Masons of the local lodges in the wildfire impacted region, whose quiet acts of service and generosity have continued throughout the summer.

Together, these contributions reflect a shared commitment to compassion, relief, and responsible citizenship.
