OES Morns The Loss Of Past District Grand Matron Marjorie Maie Conrod

The family is saddened with the sudden passing of Marjorie Maie Conrod, 98 of Dartmouth, NS. Born in Robinson's, Newfoundland she was the eldest daughter of the late Ernest H. "Bert" and Jessie Maie Renouf (Siteman).
She is survived by daughter Gilda Sutton (John), Newmarket, ON, sons Fred (Karen), Portage LaPrarie, MB, Keith (Heidi), Halifax, NS, Kevin (Karla) and Ken (Debbie Ryan) both of Dartmouth, NS. She is also survived by sisters Eileen Gosse, Corner Brook NF, and Ellen "Ellie" Marshall, Dartmouth, NS; brothers George (Marion), East Chezzetcook, NS, and Joe (Diane), New Glasgow, NS. Grandchildren Tyson Conrod, Winnipeg, MB, Reece Conrod, Canmore, AB, Trevor Conrod, Edmonton, AB, Kelly Sutton Newmarket, ON, and Julie Prevost (Marc), Keswick, ON. Great Grand Children Megan LeFort (Logan), Waverley, NS, Alex Fenchak and Jacob Fenchak of Halifax, NS, Adam and Nicole Prevost of Keswick, ON.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Clyde Frederick Conrod, sister Sylvia Gosse (Charles), brothers Ronnie, Emerson and Frederick Renouf in infancy. Marjorie was a proud resident of Harris Hall, Parkland at the Lakes, for over 10 years.
She loved the Order of the Eastern Star and was initiated into the Order on November 26, 1960. She was a Charter member of Westwood Chapter #63, Dartmouth, NS and affiliated with both The Honorable Joseph Howe Chapter #20 Dartmouth, NS and Queen Esther Chapter #61 Bedford, NS. She served as Worthy Matron 5 times and served the Grand Chapter of NS and PEI as District Deputy Grand Matron in 1978 - 1979.
By Marjorie's wishes she will be cremated and there will be no visitation or service. The burial will be at Dartmouth Memorial Gardens at a later date.
