Construction of the Amherst Masonic Temple 1957 TO 1961


Land: Two lots of land were purchased and donated on which the Temple is erected by Most. Wor. Brother N.T. Avard.


Plans and Construction Supervision: His design of building, time and efforts donated by Wor. Brother J.W. Douglas.


Excavation of Basement: Donated by V. Wor. Brother E.L. Casey.


Sand, Gravel and Cement: Donated at cost by V. Wor. Brother E.L. Casey.


The Worshipful Master's Station Constructed by Brother Robert Danson.


The Senior Warden's Station Constructed by Wor. Brother R.L. Alexander.


Carpet Donated by Wor. Brother H.N. Stevens.


Laying Carpet Labor donated by Brother Basil Bird.


Stained Glass Window Donated by Rt. Wor. Brother F.C. Wightman.


Square & Compass Carving at Altar Carved and donated by Wor. Brother J.W. Douglas.


The A.D. Smith Entrance Room: The entire cost of materials and labor to construct this room donated by Mr. D.U. Smith in memory of his father Wor. Brother A.D. Smith.
