On March 30th, Masons of Bedford Lodge No. 104 presented a cheque for $5,662 to the IWK Foundation, obtained through the the Administered Fund Program of the Masonic Foundation of Nova Scotia.

The funds will be directed to increase Anchor Youth Spaces across the province, formerly known as the Integrated Youth Service (IYS) sites under the leadership of the IWK Mental Health and Addictions program. The goal of establishing the Anchor sites is to remove barriers, and improve access to mental health care for youth 12 to 25 years of age. The Anchor sites provide free and rapid access bringing all the services that youth need to support their mental health, with the benefit of being under one roof, closer to their home.
