In Memoriam - Brother Randell “Randy” Charles MacPhee - Fellowship Lodge No 112

uly 16, 1956 – August 25, 2026


It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Randel Charles MacPhee, on August 25, 2026, in the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, surrounded by family.


Randy grew up in Harmony, NS, the son of Wende l and Susan MacPhee (nee Rath). Randy was a long-time tradesman starting with carrying his father’s toolbox at the age of seventeen. He continued to work with his father as a plumber for many years eventua ly taking over the business. He worked for a time instaling underground oil tanks for service stations and even built the Shell Service Station on Robie Street in Truro, as well as one for Co-Op Atlantic in Stephenville, Newfoundland. Most recently, he installed and cleaned HVAC systems. Randy enjoyed darts, curling and fishing, with the cottage in Economy being his happy place!


Randy will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife of 22 years, Donna MacPhee; his children, Rebecca MacPhee (Alex Woodrow), and Charlie MacPhee; his step children, Nikki Pace, and Kim Milberry (Brandon); his seven grandchildren, and his siblings, Darre l MacPhee (Susan) and Wendy Cooke (Glen).

He will also be remembered by his extended family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched throughout the years as a long time member of both the Truro and Salmon River Volunteer Fire Brigades.


Family flowers only. Memorial donations in Randy’s name may be made to the IWK Health Centre.


A visitation wi l take place on Friday, September 11th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.


A Firefighter’s Tribute Service to celebrate Randy’s life will be held on Saturday, September 12th at 1:00 pm. with a reception to fo low, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. Webcasting of the service will begin at 12:58 pm (ADT). Randy’s memory wi l live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
